According to CBS news the New Jersey prosecutors of the Clementi family are contemplating whether to file more charges against the two Rutgers University freshmen accused of broadcasting on the Internet video of fellow freshman Tyler Clementi having sex with another man.Middlesex County prosecutors say the pair, both 18, used a webcam to secretly transmit a live image of Clementi having sex with a man on Sept. 19 and that Ravi tried to webcast a second encounter on Sept. 21, the day before Clementi's suicide.
My question is simply,what the fuck is going on with this world? Seriously is it safe to say that technology can now turn everyday college students or anybody as far as that matters into murderers.The internet's use of a web camera since its rise to fame in 1994 has made viewing things accessible to the public. As time advances so does the demographics,communication methods,and technology change with it making things easier for this fast paced society but is it also crumling the people???
If I could take a time machine to Rutgers University to go back to no not the night of the suicide but back to 1994 when Collge students were introduced to the new web camera instrument and ask a few students or forewarn them that this new advancement in their computer will play the middle man in the death of a 19 year old male,what would their feedback be?
